Join us as Dr. Johnnie Lundin speaks on Education in Alabama: Past, Present, and Future.
This session examines the evolution of Alabama’s educational system, from its historical roots to its current landscape. Participants will explore key milestones, challenges, and innovations shaping learning across the state, and will consider future directions aimed at ensuring equitable, high-quality education for all students.

Dr. Johnnie Lundin is Professor and the Assistant Dean in the College of Education at Athens State University. A National Board-Certified educator, she has served as a classroom teacher, ARI Specialist, and Department Chair. Her research examines inquiry-based science, effective mathematics instruction, and teacher content knowledge.
